History
The birth of our church began as a vision amongst members of the Pacific Grace Chinese Mennonite Brethren (MB) Church in mid-1990. God worked through 50 brothers and sisters who responded to the calling and established the Burnaby Pacific Grace Chinese MB Church. By February of 1991, we became financially independent from our parent church and our congregation grew quickly.
God blessed our church abundantly, and bearing the Great Commission in mind, we established the Port Moody Pacific Grace MB Church in February 1995. In the same way, our sister church, in response to God’s calling, grew in number and became economically independent from the Burnaby Pacific Grace MB Church in January 1998.
By late 1998, we began developing an English ministry because of the encouraging growth in our youth ministries. We also began the Awana program and many other activities to welcome new comers and to help members grow closer to God. By God’s grace, before we out grew our original church building, we were provided our current site location on Triumph Street in July 2004.
We are a member of the British Columbia Conference of MB Churches. At present, we are a family of brothers and sisters of around 330 strong, following the commands of Jesus Christ our Lord. Through fellowship, worship, and prayer, we spur on one another. As part of the Body of Christ we also encourage you to be part of our church to become part of the family.
